Last week we noted that Asus had created a support page for a new model called the Eee PC 1201HA. At the time, there weren't any drivers or other downloads available, but Asus has thrown a few items up on the download page including a graphics driver for the US15 chipset, which would seem to imply that the laptop will have Intel GMA 500 graphics and possibly an Intel Atom Z520 or Z530 processor.
In other words, it's starting to look like the Eee PC 1201HA will be a slightly larger version of the Eee PC 1101HA which is an 11.6 inch netbook with a 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z520 processor and GMA 500 graphics. The Eee PC 1201HA, on the other hand, is expected to have a 12.1 inch display. We know this both because the model number starts with "12″ and because a Chinese store launched a product page for an Eee PC 1201N laptop with a 12 inch display and NVIDIA ION graphics a few weeks ago.
So it looks like the 1200-series could include a range of devices, including a low end model with integrated graphics and a higher end model with NVIDIA graphics. It's worth noting that the US15/GMA 500 chipset does include hardware acceleration for HD video, but when it comes to web video and everyday performance tasks, machines like the Asus Eee PC 1101HA and Eee PC T91 with Atom Z5xx series processors and GMA 500 graphics feel much more sluggish than netbooks with Atom N270/N280 processors and GMA 950 graphics.
