Asus upgrade entry level netbooks to DDR3 memory

Asus are to revamp some of their entry level netbooks and the latest iteration will add DDR3 memory support, instead of the standard DDR2 memory. The Eee PC 10001PQ, 1001PX and 1005PC will all be upgraded and be named the 1001PQD, 1001PXD and 1005PXD. The D is added to Asus netbooks which have DDR3 memory, as well as the N455 processor. The current netbook models have the N450 processor, so with regards to performance, you probably won't see much of a difference.

Each of the netbooks has been listed on the Asus support site, however there's no word on when they will go on sale. Likewise, pricing information is also unknown for the time being.
