Commentators are calling the new Sungworld Lanyu eBook netbook the world's cheapest netbook, coming in at 500 Yuan or around $73 USD. It's been seen on the Shenzhen electronics market, though it looks to appeal to foreigners as well.
It runs a 300 MHz VIA VT800 processor and has a tiny 7-inch 800 x 480 display. Other features include 1280 MB RAM, 1 GB of space, Wi-Fi, an 1800mAH battery, and Windows CE. As they say, you get what you pay for, but on this little netbook you just might not mind.
