Looking for a Netbook Alternative? Check Out the Compaq CQ61 Laptop.

Nowadays, some laptop manufacturers are starting to provide alternatives to netbooks. An example is Compaq, which is aiming to bring to consumers a machine that has the price of a netbook and the performance of a laptop.

The Compaq CQ61 laptop has a 15.6″ screen display, is powered by a 2 GHz AMD Sempron M100 processor and an ATI Radeon HD 4200 graphics chipset, and has 2 GB of RAM and a 160 GB hard drive. Unlike a netbook, the Compaq CQ61 would also be powerful enough to support the Windows 7 OS.

The Compaq CQ61 will go on sale soon after the launch of Windows 7, with a selling price of $399.
