Ramos is updating its W30HD tablet with a new "pro" model sporting a faster processor. The Ramos W30HDPro features a 10.1 inch, 1920 x 1200 pixel display, a Rockchip RK3188 ARM Cortex-A9 quad-core CPU, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software.
It's available for pre-order from Geekbuying for $299.99. ChinaGrabber says it's already in stock for $298.
The tablet features 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, 802.11n WiFi and 2MP cameras on the front and back. There's a microSD card slot for additional storage.
This model doesn't have GPS or Bluetooth.
Most of the specs are identical to those for the Ramos W30HD, which sells for about $10 less. But that model has 32GB of storage and a Samsung Exynos 4412 ARM Cortex-A9 quad-core CPU.
While the Exynos 4412 is a speedy chip, it's not quite as fast as the newer RK3188 processor. For the most part you probably wouldn't notice the difference — both should be capable of running virtually any Android app you can throw at them. But it's nice to have options.
