Acer Shows Off Aspire One AOD270 Windows Netbook

Acer is bringing out a new notebook called the Aspire One AOD270.

Sporting an Intel Atom N2600 processor clocked at 1.60 Ghz. It has 1 GB of DDR 3 SDRAM, expandable through a Memory Stick PRO, MultiMediaCard (MMC), Secure Digital (SD) card, or a Memory Stick.

For the storage, a 320 GB Serial ATA at 5400 rpm is onboard. Its screen spans 25.7 cm (10.1″) and is an WSVGA TFT display with LED backlighting. It has an aspect ratio of 128:75. Connectivity-wise, users have Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11b/g/n, Fast Ethernet, and Bluetooth 4.0. Windows 7 Starter (32-bit) is the device's operating system, which comes with the Bing Bar and Windows Live Essentials.

6-cell 2200 mAh (Li-Ion) battery is available, which promises up to 8 hours of computing time. The dimensions of this device are 24.0 mm x 257.0 mm x 184.0 mm. The device weighs 1.30 kg. The device carries certification from RoHS, Energy Star, and WEEE.

The new Aspire One AOD270 will be officially released on March 23rd. Its selling price is 40,000 Yen or around $479.
