The Lenovo Ideapad U260 is a thin and light notebook with a 12.5 inch display and a Core i-series processor. We first spotted the laptop a few days ago, and now Lenovo has officially announced that the U260 will go on sale Monday with a starting price of $895.
While the price sets this model apart from other 11 to 12 inch netbooks launched in recent months, the Lenovo IdeaPad U260 has some premium features you won't find on those budget thin and lights, including:
- 12.5 inch 1366 x 768 pixel anti-glare LED backlit display
- Intel Core i3-380UM dual core or Intel Core i5-470UM dual core CPU
- Up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM
- 320GB hard drive
Rounding out the specs are:
- Intel HD graphics with HDMI output
- Spill-resistant keyboard
- Ambient light sensor
- Magnesium-aluminum alloy chassis
- 4 cell Lithium Polymer battery
- 802.11b/g/n WiFi
- Bluetooth 2.1
- 0.3MP camera
- VGA port
- 2 USB 2.0 ports
- multitouch touchpad
- 3.04 pound weight
- 12.5″ x 8.1″ x 0.7″
The laptop also has Dobly Advance Audio surround sound speakers, a hard drive protection system to prevent damage if the laptop falls, and Lenovo software that's designed to help the laptop boot and shutdown more quickly.
