Jolicloud netbook OS previewed before beta, enjoyed

The so-called "social netbook OS" Jolicloud has been previewed by Web Crawler on CNET recently and it looks pretty promising so far. Introduced back in January and launched back in June under private alpha, Jolicloud will be going into its beta testing phase pretty soon with what looks like a very workable Web-based operating system for netbooks and other low-power machines. According to CNET's preview, a few of its good points are that it is free (for now), there is a large directory of applications that are easy to install and uninstall, you can install it alongside existing operating systems on your netbook's hard drive and the OS and applications automatically update. It does have a few negative points as well, however, including the inability to show more than one app at a time on screen and the fact that it only works on certain netbook models. Still, it looks like a pretty good alternative to Windows or other Linux distros on netbooks. I can't wait to be able to try it myself.
