Dolby Laboratories has announced that it would soon be collaborating with netbook manufacturers into bringing Dolby sound into their tiny machines. In fact, first to get a taste of this Dolby technology are the two Lenovo netbooks – S12 and S10-2.
These two netbooks were recently demonstrated by Dolby bearing Dolby headphones technology. This creates a personal surround sound experience through any set of headphones letting listeners to feel immersed in the entertainment. The Dolby headphone creates up to five virtual speakers in a virtual room which result in a more natural listening sensation. It also improves listening comfort and prevents listener fatigue that usually accompanies headphone use.
Adding the Dolby headphone to the Lenovo netbooks was done efficiently and was made sure that it will not add burden to the netbook's battery.
