ViewSonic is bringing out their newest tablet, the ViewPad97i Pro. Unlike with the arising group of slates in the market today, this device is currently powered by Windows 7 and not by Android.
The tablet has a capacitive touchscreen measured at 9.7 inches diagonally on a 1024 x 768 pixel IPS display. It sports a 1.5 GHz Intel Atom N2600 dual-core processor, with 2 GB of RAM plus a 32 GB Solid State Disk for added apps and files storage.
Looking at it, the device is like a netbook without a keyboard. It has basically two USB 2.0 ports, a microSD card slot and a mini HDMI port too.
The tablet measures at 9.7″ x 7.5″ x 0.6″, weighs about 2.2 pounds, plus it is equipped with 4900mAh battery. It is also featured with an 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi functionality, integrated Bluetooth and a front-facing 1.3 MP camera.
The ViewPad97i Pro tablet is not yet officially released in the U.S., but ebay has been selling the unit at $488 each.
