US Cellular Prices Galaxy Note 2 At $299

Samsung's latest phablet, the Galaxy Note 2, was revealed to be heading to major mobile carriers in the United States. Among these are Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, The Now Network, and US Cellular.

Among these, however, it is only US Cellular that made a confirmation through an official announcement. According to the carrier, the Galaxy Note 2 is slated for launching towards the end of October. The company has also opened the device for pre-ordering for the price of $299.

As the other companies have not announced how much they are selling the device for, it is difficult to say whether US Cellular's pricing is reasonable or not. It may be recalled, however, that US Cellular in the past sold the Samsung Galaxy S III for a more expensive price in comparison to what the other carriers offered. Thus, for those who think that $299 is a bit costly, they can always wait for the other carriers to reveal their price to make a comparison.

Revealed last month, the Samsung Galaxy Note II comes with a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, a 1.6 GHz quad-core processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Operating System, and a Li-ion 3,100mAh battery. Its user memory comes in 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB variants while its system memory is 2 GB. An 8-megapixel camera may be found on its rear while on its front is a 1.9-megapixel high definition camera.
