Over the past few years I've seen a number of folks use tablets to give small group business presentations. Just fire up a slideshow app, prop up your iPad on a table, and everyone can crowd around to look at a tiny PowerPoint presentation.
SmartDevices has another solution. The company's new SmartQ U7 tablet features a built-in 40 lumen projector for presentations, movies, or other content.
That way you can project a 50 inch, 854 x 480 pixel image on a wall or screen about 6 feet away.
The tablet has a 7 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, 1GB of RAM, and a TI OMAP4 dual core processor. There will be two models, and AndroidYo reports prices will start at $315:
- 1 GHz OMAP 4430 CPU and 8GB of storage for $315
- 1.5 GHz OMAP 4460 CPU and 16GB of storage for $400
While those prices might seem a little high for Chinese tablets, they're not bad at all when you consider the built-in Pico Projector. A battery powered projector alone could cost $200 or more — and that's without the attached Android tablet.
In addition the projector, the tablet appears to have an HDMI port, audio jack, and microSD card slot.
