Archos Unveils the Affordable Arnova GBook

If you are thinking buying your loved one some piece of technology this coming Holiday season, perhaps you might want to look at this Arnova GBook and start to decide then.

This eBook reader from Archos may look like a 7-inch tablet, that's why its maker has decided to call it an eBook reader. Same with other tablets, the Arnova Gbook lets you play music, games, videos and other activities like any normal tablet would allow you to do. However, unlike with the most tablet PCs now, the Arnova Gbook has a slow processor; with this, it is expected that this will be sold cheaper.

The Gbook has the following specifications: a resolution display of 800 x 480 pixels, 1 GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor, 1 GB of RAM, 4 GB of storage and a microSD slot for additional storage. Also it comes with a front-facing camera, an integrated mic and speaker plus a mini HDMI output.

This may not impress the more technologically advanced individuals, but might give an impact to the voracious readers out there. The battery life of this eBook reader on read-mode is 8 hours while the video playback is until 7 hours.

It is expected that this will have a price tag of $120 or less.
