Three Tablets From Italy Courtesy of Ekoore

Italian company Ekoore has been laying low for awhile, but it seems they're back with a bang! They've just announced three new tablets with rather appropriate names: Perl, Python and Pascal. Two of these tablets run on the not-exactly popular choices of tablet OS: namley Ubuntu Linux and Windows 7. The third one is a more standard choice of a budget Android tablet.

The Perl and Python models are the two Linux/Windows models and they share 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel multitouch display, HDMI output, stereo audio. However the Python mode is more impressive with its 1.66 GHz Intel Atom N455 processor, GMA 3150 graphics, a solid state disk, 3 USB ports, WiFi, Bluetooth, and 3G. That's a lot to fit into a tablet and its obvious with its thick chassis. Still it's a pretty much a trimmed down netbook so it maybe popular for its more powerful capabilities.

The Android tablet, the Pascal, is quite different. It boasts a 7 inch multitouch display, runs on 1.2 GHz Telechips ARM Cortex-A8 dual core processor, and uses Android 2.3. It also features 512 MB of RAM along with 4 gigs of data storage. One more good thing about it is it's pretty light, weighing less than a pound.

No word on the release date or prices, but expect them to be competitively priced.
