Energy problems have plagued laptops since they were made. Regular charging can be a pain if there's no place to plug it in. Well, Samsung's NC215S should solve that.
It's actually a pretty basic netbook. It's got all the basic features: a 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel matte display, 1GB of RAM, and a 1.66 GHz Intel Atom N570 dual core CPU. What sets it apart is the fact that its got a solar panel for a lid. Yup, that's right – you can keep this thing running as long as you have sunlight. Samsung projects an hour of operation for every two hours under the sun – stretching the netbook charge to 14 hours at best. That's a long time for a netbook.
It will be arriving in the US July 3, with a suggested price tag of $399 – that's a decent enough price for a netbook with its own internal power source.
