This week Intel announced that its 1.5GHz dual core Atom N550 processor was now available, and ever since we've seen netbooks sporting the new chipset coming out of the woodwork. Today's model is a 10 inch netbook from Asus called the Eee PC 1005PEM.
Tech In Style reports that the Eee PC 1005PEM will support up to 2GB of DDR3 memory and be able to handle 720p HD video playback. The netbook will be available in red, black, white, and pink colors and should ship for about 349 Euros in Europe. That's just over $440 US, but PC prices have a way of falling a bit once they hit US shores.
The US Energy Star Web site also has a listing for a new Asus netbook called the 1015PDG with a dual core chip. But this model has a 1.66GHz processor, which makes me think that either this machine uses a different chip or that the specs are wrong.
