Lenovo to ship 1.83GHz netbooks very soon.

In a previous interview, Intel said that their main focus is not to increase processor speed but to maintain it to deliver better battery life and to have a more competitive price. It seems with the previous news of an upcoming LG netbook and the now a new Lenovo netbook, the rumor of a faster, 1.83GHz Atom processor looks closer and closer to the truth.

Straight from Lenovo's very own site, a listing of a faster S10-3t model says that it "ships within 9 business days." Netbooknews.com says it's going to be available after four weeks, though. In any case, this clearly gives us folks who have long waited for a speed bump for our netbook some hope of a faster CPU. The faster model seems to have all the same specs as the lower, 1.66GHz one except for a bigger drive and 2GB RAM.

I hope the other manufacturers will follow suit as well so we can all enjoy faster netbooks all around.
