It might look like handheld tablets with touchscreen displays have exploded all over the marketplace in the year and a half since Apple released the iPad. On the other hand, it's possible that we haven't seen anything yet. While a number of computer and phone makers have been cranking out Android tablets to compete with the iPad head-on in the...

Just a few days ago, Best Buy offered the 32GB HP TouchPad for $149.99 if you buy an HP or Compaq laptop, desktop, or all-in-one computer. Around the same time, HP has announced that the TouchPad is already out of stock and will not be selling any more tablets directly to consumers. This week, Walmart is offering a promotion similar to Best Buy's: buy an HP laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium & add on an HP Touchpad Tablet for $149 bundle. Similar deals are also available at Sam's Club, which is owned by Walmart.
For as low as $497, you can get a laptop with a 15.6 inch display, a 2.1 GHz Intel Celeron processor, 3GB of RAM, and a 320GB hard drive and a 9.7 inch HP TouchPad tablet with webOS 3.0 and 32GB of storage. You can also select other notebooks but it would cost more. Complete information on other options and promo details are available at Walmart website.
HP introduced the TouchPad tablet in July but was canceled in less than two months due to poor sales. However, when HP dropped prices significantly to clear inventory, the TouchPad became wildly popular and in demand instead. HP made one more order with its suppliers this summer, but did not directly sold directly to consumers. Still, a limited supply seems to have gone to retailers.
You may now be wondering if TouchPad really is out of stock or this is just a marketing scheme to boost sales on other HP products. No store offers the 32GB TouchPad tablet for just $149. Instead, retailers like Best Buy, TigerDirect, and Walmar bundled it with other products.
HP is also offering $149.99 TouchPads to webOS developers. You can register to qualify for the Developer Device Program and order up to two devices directly from HP.

Walmart is offering a limited number of HP TouchPad tablets this week -- but there's a catch. You'll need to buy an HP laptop if you want to get your hands on the discontinued tablet. Buy an HP laptop from Walmart, get an HP TouchPad ($497 and up) is a post from: Liliputing
Have you seen this laptop before? Well, if you haven't here it is. HP has just unveiled its 11.6-inch 3115m and it considers it a business set for all intents and functions; a rebadged Pavilion dm1z should only fit to a more buttoned-up sort of customer. To begin with, you'd confuse it with the latest redesigned dm1, everything including flush trackpad. Powered by dual-core AMD E-450 APU, 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 display that is in full 720p HD, it also accompanies a chiclet keyboard, Beats Audio and a 6-cell battery rated for 11.5 hours on a full-charge come standard. What's more is that you get a modest 2GB of RAM, 320GB and 5,400RPM HDD. Strangely, 5,400RPM drives are as excellent as it gets here. IT guys would highly consider this machine – however, it accompanies HP's Keyed Cable lock including Computrace Pro module used for tracking and distantly destroying lost or stolen laptops (you'll have to activate this feature manually). I it should hit the shelves in Americas on November 11th (asking price $430 – a thirty-dollar premium compared to the dm1z).
