Sony bring Billabong VAIO W to the US


We recently showed you the VAIO W which was being released in Australia in collaboration with Billabong. The Billabong edition netbook came in "Imperial Lime" which consisted of splashes of lime green, blue and black. Now Sony have announced that the Billabong limited edition Sony VAIO W will be making it's way to the US. You can currently pre-order the netbook for $500. Specs remain the same, 10.1 inch display, 1GB of RAM, Windows 7 Starter and a 250GB hard drive.

Sony will also be participating in Billabong's Design for Humanity event. Sony will be auctioning off two of the netbooks and proceeds will be donated to the Invisible Children foundation. When the netbook will actually be shipped is unknown but, it's likely to be from June 10th, when the Design for Humanity event takes place.
