FCC/Realtek
There've been indications that Lenovo is working on a ThinkPad-branded netbook for a while now. The company has been putting out consumer-oriented Ideapad S-series netbooks for the past year, but the the ThinkPad series is Lenovo's business line of laptops, which means they tend to come with special features including a more professional looking design and a pointing stick in the middle of the keyboard in addition to a touchpad.
The folks at Wireless Goodness spotted an FCC filing by Realtek that indicates the upcoming Lenovo ThinkPad netbooks will use Realtek wireless modules. That's not the exciting part. What's interesting is that three different models were listed: The ThinkPad X100e, ThinkPad Mini 11, and ThinkPad Mini10. We'd already heard about the X100e, but the Mini 10 and 11 are new to me.
There aren't any real details about the Mini 10 and 11, but it seems reasonable that one will have a 10 inch display while the other will feature a 11.1 or 11.6 inch screen. According to earlier reports, the ThinkPad X100e will have an 11.6 inch display, AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 display, and will run Windows 7. It's expected to sell for $449 and up.
