Acer has just started offering a red hot Ferrari for under $1000 USD–and you can carry it in a backpack. I'm talking about the Acer Ferrari One netbook which runs on AMD's M780G chipset and uses a 1.2GHz AMD Athlon 64 X2 CPU with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3200 graphics. At this point, you might wonder, is this thing really a netbook? Well, the rest of its specs should stand as ample evidence of the fact: it has an 11.6-inch LCD screen, built-in Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, webcam, and a 6-cell battery that's rated for up to 5 hours of battery life. There's also a 250GB hard drive onboard, as well as 3 USB ports, a VGA-out port, two built-in stereo speakers and a multi-touch trackpad. The cost of having this netbook in flaming red with a Ferrari logo on top? $600 USD. Continue reading for Acer's full press release.
