It's hardly been a few weeks since the release of the UW1 CTL 2Go Classmate PC and CTL is already at the ready with an update – the Classmate PC E10. Take a look:
The 2Go netbooks are actually rebranded Intel Classmate PCs, meant to be used by kids in an educational setting. This particular version implements a 90%-of-full-size keyboard, a 10.1-inch screen, and the 1.6 GHz Intel Atom CPU. Other features are standard – a 160 GB HDD, Wi-Fi, and Windows XP Home.
The 6-cell battery should be useful if students are brought outdoors to work, something facilitated by the netbook's thick skin and built-in handle. The Intel Blue Dolphin program launcher comes pre-loaded, including eBook and PDF readers, a webcam program, Microsoft Works and a PowerPoint viewer.
You can get the 2Go Classmate PC E10 netbook for $449 if you're a member of the general public, though schools can get the netbooks for $100 off.
