Atheros launches 802.11n/Bluetooth combo Mini-card

Atheros has unveiled a new Half-Mini card that combines 802.11n WiFi capabilities with Bluetooth on a single PCIe card. This means you can install a single solution in notebooks or netbooks while freeing up space inside the computer for additional components such as TV tuners, GPS receivers, or VoIP dongles.

The Atheros AR9002WB-1NGB card supports Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR as well as the recently approved 802.11n WiFi standard. Atheros says the card supports Windows XP, Vista, and 7 as well as Linux. The card is still in testing, but it should begin showing up in laptops in the not too distant future.
