Is Google's CR-48 Gasping Its Last Breath?

CR-48, Google's prototype Chrome laptop future seems to be bleak. This is mostly because of the recent announcement of the Samsung and Acer Chrome netbooks.

However, don't count it out yet. Some eager testers have finally managed to receive their own units of the sought after prototype. That may mean a new lease on life for the plucky little prototype, though don't hold your breath. Google may just be trying to get rid of its entire stock of the laptop.

Lenovo Finally Lets Us Peek At The Thinkpad X1

We've been hearing about the Thinkpad X1 for awhile now. Being one of the most leaked-about gadgets, most people already know the specs – however, the Think X1 has now officially popped up at the Lenovo X series comparison site. This marks the official release of info on the X1 and some final specs are revealed. First of all, the 13.3-inch display is called a "SuperBright HD Infinity panel", which pretty much means its made using IPS technology. Additional specs include  an integrated fingerprint reader, a buttonless touchpad, USB 3.0, and 10-hour battery. These specs are rounded out by  a weight of 1.36kg (3lbs) and a thick of about 16mm (0.625 inches).

Expect it to arrive May 17th.
