The Asus 1015E is a mini-laptop with a 10 inch display and a 1.1 GHz Intel Celeron 847 dual-core processor. It's not exactly a powerhouse, but it's a portable notebook that weighs less than 3 pounds and which should offer significantly better performance than an Intel Atom-powered netbook.
Asus started offering the 1015E last month for $299. But now it's available for $50 less, making it not only one of the smallest notebooks around, but also one of the cheapest.
