Hercules Launches Pricey E-Cafe Netbook

It's almost time for netbooks to be released with the new Windows 7 Starter OS. PC Maker Hercules has recently announced their plans to launch the eCafe EC-1000W netbook, which will ship with this new operating system. While within the United States Hercules isn't as well known as Acer, ASUS, Dell, or HP, it has previously released a couple netbooks in Europe.

The new eCafe EC-1000W netbook has a 10″ screen display, is powered by a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, and has 1 GB of RAM and a 160 GB hard drive, pretty typical specs for a netbook.

The eCafe netbook also has a chiclet-style keyboard and a six-celled, 4400mAh battery. Hercules is also planning on giving their customers 40 GB of online storage space for backing up their files.

This sleek netbook will have a price tag of 349 Euros, or roughly $497, a bit pricier than the average netbook.
