Foxconn to Come Up with a Sub-$200 Netbooks?

Even now when netbooks are starting to hit its prime, the elusive goal of coming up with a brand new netbook that range on the sub-$200 price mark remains, well elusive. But if push comes to shove, we might still see this happening soon as words on the street indicate that Foxconn is prepping a sub-$200 netbook equipped with ARM platform.

While there's nothing definite about this project yet, we might as well believe it since Foxconn has some smartbook projects in the pipeline so won't be surprising if they can throw in a cheap netbook on the side as well.

Other information about this netbook include the fact that it run on Linux (most definitely due to cost reason) unless of course Microsoft would support ARM-based netbooks when it release Windows 7. But then, I doubt if the netbook could be priced competitively if it is running Microsoft OS.

Just about what we know so far about this netbook. Stay tune for more details to come out hopefully soon.
