We're all aware by now that Apple has no intentions to make a netbook. But rumor has it that one of its manufacturers is now interested in taking on such an endeavor.
Foxconn Electronics is rumored to be developing up to five netbook designs and codenaming them Qbooks – at least for now. The company is rumored to have chosen the ARM processor as the default chipset due to its lower cost. These netbooks would have screen sizes between 7 and 10 inches. Foxconn is currently testing out multiple OSes, including Linux, Moblin, and Android.
The target price for these netbooks is rumored to be in the range of $100-$200, which is in the low end for netbooks, and much less than Nokia's upcoming netbook.
