The Lenovo IdeaTab A1000 is a low-cost 7 inch tablet with a 1.2 GHz MediaTek dual-core processor and a 1024 x 600 pixel display. Lenovo introduced the tablet a few months ago, but despite a stop at the FCC in March, it's not yet available in the US.
But if you happen to live in China, GizmoChina reports that you can now pick up the IdeaTab A1000 for about $160.
That could be a sign that an international launch is coming soon… although it's probably too early to say if the pricing will be the same in the US and Lenovo's home country of China.
There's some pretty stiff competition in the low-cost 7 inch tablet space at the moment.
Lenovo's new 7 inch tablet features up to 16GB of storage, a microSD card slot, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, and a 03MP front-facing camera. It runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
The Chinese model also has dual SIM card slots and supports 3G wireless connections.
