There's a long-standing tradition that the holiday shopping season officially starts in the US on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. And to kick things off, all sorts of retail outlets run promotions and sell key items at deep discounts in order to get shoppers in the door. There's a somewhat more recent tradition that tech and bargain hunting blogs find leaked copies of the Black Friday promotional flyers weeks in advance.
