Still remember that netbook-looking convertible machine that prefers to be known as a webbook rather than netbook? Well, what do you know, Litl the company responsible for the said machine went ahead an officially released it under the name – Litl Webbook.

But mind you, compared with other netbooks, the Litl Webbook is not a little machine. It has a 12-inch display so that pretty much separates it with your regular-sized netbooks available in the market today.

Anyway, specs-wise there's nothing much to brag about the Litl Webbook. It packs a 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU, graphics processor that handles H.264 video at 720p resolution, HDTV output via HDMI port, 1GB of RAM, 2GB of flash storage and Wi-Fi. The machine also boasts of 2 IR ports for remote control operation.

But what's interesting about the Litl Webbook is not so much on its specs but the fact that it has its own OS and it is said to be always on with no need to log in everytime you want to use it.

The Litl webbook also produces high-quality TV-like viewing of photos and other digital content. So that makes it worthy of the monicker – Internet computer for the home.

The Litl Webbook goes up for  a whopping $699 at the company's website.
