Just when does Asus actually plans to release its innovative Eee Keyboard. It was supposed to come out last month right? or this month? But anyway, it looks like the Eee Keyboard's market debut is delayed anew as Asus has just redesigned it a bit.
Register Hardware was able to get a hands-on the redesigned keyboard and guess what? What use to be a resistive 5-inch touchscreen display is now replaced with a capacitive panel. This is similar to what the iPhone and other touch-screen handsets apparently use and which Asus' product design head Ken Wang said has a better touch responsiveness.
In addition, the Eee Keyboard now also supports gesture control similar to the recently released Apple Magic Mouse. It can launch a web browser just by swiping to fingers on its screen. Sleek!
Asus also plans to release both non-metallic and metallic versions of the Eee Keyboard. When? That remains to be answered.
