Fedora Mini Designed for Netbook Use

Seeing as netbooks have become so popular, Fedora Linux is developing a version of their software especially for netbooks. Named Fedora Mini, this software incorporates elements of Moblin Linux and is designed for devices with low resolutions and Intel Atom processors.

In addition to Atom processors, Fedora Mini supports Intel Celeron M, Via C7-M, and AMD Geode LX processors. And while Intel GMA 900 and Intel GMA 950 graphics chipsets are supported, the Intel GMA 500 graphics chipset is not. For a more complete list of supported hardware, click here.

The creation and finalization of Fedora Mini is still in the works, but it's currently in alpha testing. We'll keep you posted on its progress.
