While netbook makers have largely moved on from producing machines with 7 inch screens and tiny keyboards to pumping out 10 inch or larger devices, you can still pick up a first generation Eee PC 701 if you know where to shop. In fact, Mwave is selling a refurbished Eee PC 701SD with 8GB of storage space for just $140, making it one of the cheapest laptops you'll find anywhere.
And if you're looking for something to do with your shiny new cheapo computer, one YouTube user has an interesting idea: Add a touchscreen and embed the whole thing in a kitchen cabinet for use as a low power kitchen PC.
You can check out the video after the break. But here's the long and short of it. You can use the computer to surf the web, interact with weather widgets, add notes for family members, or perform other tasks using just the touchscreen. He's also hidden the keyboard behind the cabinet door, so you can tap out more complex plans if you need to.
