Kogan Offers Budget 10″ Android 4.0 Tablet

Even there are lots of tablets surrounding the slate market now and then by most Asian makers, it's good to know that there are still other continental manufacturers including Europe and Australia that are keen in giving competitive tablet PCs.

One of them is Kogan, an Australia-based company that recently unleashed a 10-incher tablet named as Agora. It features the latest Android platform so far, the Ice Cream Sandwich OS while supporting a fair pixel resolution of 1024 x 768.

The tablet runs on a 1.2 GHz Cortex A8 processor. It has 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of flash storage plus a microSD card slot for memory expansion. A 16 version of Agora is as well available.

Added features include HDMI ouput, 2 MP camera at rear and US 2.0 port. The Agora somehow packs decent specs for a lower price of $176. But unfortunately, the tablet's shipment to start on June 25th will be exclusively available only in Australia.

CZC U116T Ultrabook with Detachable Keyboard Coming to Computex 2012

This era makes ultrabooks known better. With the appearance of different slimmer notebook PCs these past few months, it's a big proof then how these ultrabooks had empowered the tech lives of many.

Computex trade show will be held couple of days from now. Hence, it is expected that lots of amazing and competitive devices would appear to the show aimed to stun the public. One of these gadgets to consist of is the CZC U116T ultrabook from the Chinese maker CZC Tech.

The CZC U116T is not just your ordinary ultrabook if you would look through its features and composition. It is made to include a 13.3-inch panel supporting a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution. This ultrabook integrates the Asus' Transformer styling with its detachable keyboard bringing an extra battery.

Moreover, the device packs an Ivy Bridge CPU and HD 4000 graphics. It carries a 4 G of RAM and SSD storage choice plus a memory card slot for added space. USB 2.0, 3.0, SIM card slot, audio jacks, fingerprint scanner, Wi-Fi connectivity and 3G feature are can be found with the CZC U116T ultrabook.

However, this ultrabook is not an Android-supported, but of Windows 7 OS instead.

Archos 80 Cobalt Tablet Visited the FCC

The Archos 80 G9 has started shipping last year. It is an 8-incher tablet with 1024 x 768 pixel resolution running on a dual-core TI OMAP 4 processor. But apparently, another Archos model seems to be on the way for the tablet space. This slate is named as the Archos 80 Cobalt tablet.

The Archos 80 Cobalt visited the FCC website just recently. It appears similar with the original Archos 80 G9 but the tablet's back label says Arnova. Hence, that would suggest an obvious added member for the Arnova line.

ArcTablet also implies the possibility of the Archos 80 Cobalt to be the first tablet of the future Archos Elements slates on mid-range line.

Limited data about this upcoming tablet has established; yet it is expected that the Archos 80 Cobalt will feature 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and might have the same panel aspect ratio as with the 80 G9. Hopefully, with the launch to be made in the US, the tablet will be availale active for the Android 4.0 and a better processor.

Dell to Launch XPS 12 Convertible Windows 8 Tablet?

Dell seems to be working on a hybrid tablet and notebook that runs on the new Windows Operating System. This product, named the Dell XPS 12, was spotted at a recently leaked photo published by Neowin.

The device carries a large display measuring 12.5 inches diagonally and has support for Full HD image quality. The screen also has edge to edge Gorilla Glass for protection.

Despite the size of the screen, the convertible tablet promises a thin and ultraportable design that measures only 0.79 inches in thickness and 3.1 pounds in weight. This is made possible by a chassis that is made of lightweight aluminum and carbon fiber.

The Dell XPS 12 is also expected to have a Solid State Disk and an Ivy Bridge processor, which would help the device qualify as an ultrabook. These two parts make it also possible for the device to have Intel Smart Connect and Intel Rapid Start technologies.

As for the converting mechanism from a tablet to a notebook, consumers may be somewhat reminded of the Dell Inspiron Duo netbook, another convertible device that the company is no longer producing.

The Dell XPS 12 joins another Dell product running on Windows 8 that is also in the works, called the Dell Latitude 10. It will likely hit the market later this year.

Gigabyte to Unveil the "Lightest Notebook PC on Earth"

The Taiwanese-based Gigabyte is branded as a decent computer maker– building real quality and performance PCs. However, this company isn't actually known for giving thin product devices such as an ultrabook to consumers. But recently, Gigabyte is spotted on the road of mapping a production for what they called the "lightest notebook on Earth". They are planning to unleash the thinnest product next week in advance of the upcoming Computex trade show.

Nevertheless, if this would be true, then Gigabyte X11 is truly going be the lightest notebook on our planet weighing at least less than the 2 pound Asus Eee PC X101 netbook or the 2.17 pound Mouse Luvbook X ultrabook.

Furthermore, with the connotation of being the lightest laptop, for sure a larger screen and a larger battery size won't totally fit this notebook PC. Hence, other unique features or even a removable battery would suggest for this one which you don't actually find in an ordinary notebook PC.
