Asus Eee PC 1011CX gets reviewed, receives fair verdict

We don't hear a lot about netbooks these days, and yet the category is arguably what set the whole consumer electronics industry on the fast track to delivering smaller, more powerful, and longer lasting devices for mobile computing. The guys over at Notebook Check recently put one of the latest netbooks from Asus's stable through a full review, and here's what they've found. The Asus Eee PC 1011CX netbook may pack rather mediocre, yet standard netbook specs these days: 10.1-inch 1024×600 resolution LCD screen, 1.6GHz Intel Atom N2600 processor, 1GB of RAM (not upgradeable), and 320GB of HDD storage, but it's still worth taking a look at because of the nearly 12-hour battery life. That thing about the RAM being soldered and not upgradeable may be a major drawback for some, but for most casual netbook users, this is actually quite adequate. At the same time, the Asus Eee PC 1011CX sits at a very attractive price point. Certainly much more attractive than most tablets and smartphones out in the market right now. Ainol Novo 7 Aurora II and Elf II Affordable Tablets Unveiled

Price indeed matters- this is the statement wherein most consumers usually fall to be their buying motto. Perhaps, it may even be appropriate for some sellers as well; in fact, there are makers specifically in the electronics gadget industry who are very particular in the cost probability of their offered product devices.

One good example is the manufacturers of the Ainol Novo 7 Aurora II and Elf II tablets. These two new slates, are reportedly keeping their prices down for the budget market. The Aurora II costs for only $190, while the Elf II goes for just $160. Great values for new tablets aren't they? Well, let's see if they also go with their specs right.

Both models have 7 inches screen display with a standard 1024 x 600-pixel resolution. They boast 1.5 GHz Cortex A9 processors with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory storage each. Also, the Aurora II and Elf II will ship the latest Android 4.0 platform together with the Mali 400 GPU that was also on the trendy Samsung Galaxy S II.

Unfortunately, the two units are lacking the GPS and Bluetooth features- hence possibly one of the main reasons why these two tablets are made to be priced inexpensively.
